How does Talopet's pricing work?

Talopet has simple month-to-month plans for each kind of pet care business — grooming salons, mobile groomers, and daycare & boarding facilities. Are there really no per-user fees for adding staff?

Correct. Unlike many competitors that charge $10–$30 per staff seat, Talopet includes unlimited staff members in every plan. Add groomers, receptionists, bathers, and managers without touching your monthly bill. Each staff member gets their own login, role, permissions, schedule, and clock-in — with zero marginal cost.

What happens if I run out of SMS credits?

You can top up SMS credits from your dashboard in simple blocks whenever you need more. Credits never expire and carry over month to month — unused credits are still there next month. If you regularly send high volumes of reminders, confirmations, or marketing blasts, upgrading to a higher plan usually works out cheaper than repeated top-ups.

How does the AI Phone Receptionist count minutes?

Minutes are counted only while the AI is actively on a call with a caller. A 3-minute booking conversation uses 3 minutes of your monthly quota. Voicemails, missed rings, and hold time do not count. Each plan includes a monthly minute quota sized for its tier — enough for a low-volume salon on the entry AI plan up to busy multi-groomer operations on higher tiers. If you exceed your quota, calls are billed at a transparent per-minute rate rather than being cut off.

Can I change plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time from your account settings. Upgrades apply immediately and are prorated. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. There are no cancellation fees, no retention calls, and no penalties for leaving — we believe we should have to earn your business every month.

Is there a long-term contract or annual commitment?

No. Every Talopet plan is month-to-month with no annual commitment, no setup fees, and no cancellation fees. If you prefer to pay annually, we offer a modest discount on the yearly total, but it is optional. We do not believe in trapping pet care businesses in multi-year contracts.

What payment processors does Talopet work with?

Talopet is Bring Your Own Payment — keep the processor you already use (Square, Stripe, Clover, or any terminal) and Talopet integrates with it. We do not add a payment markup or force you onto a house processor. This means you keep your existing rates, existing card-on-file tokens, and existing reporting, while still getting booking, deposits, and no-show protection from Talopet.

How long does setup and data migration take?

Most businesses are live within 3 business days. Our white-glove migration team imports your client list, pet records, service menu, staff schedules, and booking history from spreadsheets or from tools like MoeGo, Gingr, Groomeez, or Pawfinity. You keep running your current system until the moment you switch, so there is zero downtime. Onboarding calls and staff training are included at no extra cost.

Do I own my client and pet data?

Yes — 100%. Your client list, pet profiles, booking history, and communication logs are yours. You can export everything to CSV at any time, directly from your dashboard, with no approval process or delay. If you ever decide to leave, we help you migrate out — the same way we helped you migrate in.

What kind of support is included?
